LEVELS OF TREATMENT
Preventative and Early Intervention
-
These services may be indicated for individuals assessed to be at risk of developing increased substance-related, mental health, or emotional problems. Weekly or multiple monthly sessions are often recommended to address risk factors, educate, empower and support individuals toward fortifying overall health, increasing awareness, and increasing protective factors while reducing risk factors.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
-
Life in Recovery provides a robust IOP that is Nine (9) to twelve (12) hours of services weekly. Clients attend sessions 3 to 4 evenings each week provided in a group setting including process, experiential, educational, interactive and multimedia components. IOP services are designed to meet the complex needs of people dealing with substance use disorders alone or co-occurring conditions of mental health and substance use disorders. Participating in the program while continuing to live in the community allows the client to participate in work or school and other life activities. Treatment planning is individualized to meet the specific needs of each individual client.
Outpatient Services (Individual, Couples, and Family)
-
Weekly sessions for individuals, couples, families, or group format to address substance use or co-occurring disorders are delivered most often in the outpatient office setting or through telehealth. Services include substance use and mental health disorder assessments (same day assessments available), detailed biological, psychological, social, and spiritual (BPSS) evaluation and multidimensional conceptualization for treatment utilizing individualized treatment planning and approaches.
Low Intensity Outpatient Program (LIOP)
-
LIOP consists of groups to provide education and discussion for the client on a variety of topic about the impact of substance use, the disease of addiction and recovery, communication, spirituality and other related topics. By utilizing lectures, discussion and multimedia, the information is given to the client in a concrete, interesting and understandable manner. The program is of 12-week duration for two hours each session. The client is given information on a different topic each week. Each session stands alone thereby allowing a person to begin group at any point in the 12-week rotation.
