Receiving an autism diagnosis can bring a wide range of emotions, questions, and uncertainties. Whether you're navigating a recent diagnosis or looking for additional support along the way, this group offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow alongside other parents and caregivers.
Through education, discussion, and shared experiences, participants will gain practical tools, increased confidence, and a supportive community that understands the unique joys and challenges of raising a child with autism.

Participants may join this open group at any time. New members are welcomed on an ongoing basis as space permits.

Throughout the group, we'll explore topics including:

Group Cost
Insurance: We are able to bill insurance when a client’s plan includes group therapy coverage.
Because not all policies cover group sessions, our team will verify your benefits before enrollment.
Please note: an individual 1:1 intake session with one of our counselors is required for insurance billing.
Self Pay: Maximum of $30.00 per session
We never want cost to be a barrier to care. If finances are a concern, please ask us about our Restore Program for additional support.

This group is designed for parents and caregivers of children with autism who are seeking education, support, practical strategies, and connection with others on a similar journey.

Meet the Group Leader
Lucy Pittenger, LPC/MHSP (T)
As a counselor, retired teacher of 35 years, and mother of a child on the autism spectrum, Lucy Pittenger understands that raising a child with autism can be both rewarding and overwhelming. Having walked this path herself, she is passionate about helping other parents feel seen, supported, and empowered. Lucy believes that healing, growth, and resilience happen best in community and that no parent should have to navigate this journey alone. She is honored to lead this group and hopes to provide a place where parents can find encouragement, resources, and meaningful connection.
